These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Locora, including its iOS application, companion website(s), APIs, and any related software, features, content, and services (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is operated by the Locora operator identified in the Contact section (“Locora,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By installing the app, creating an account, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by any policies referenced herein (including our Privacy Policy). If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Service.
If you accept these Terms on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that organization; in such case, “you” and “your” refer to that organization. These Terms apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable consumer protection laws, which remain unaffected where they cannot be waived.
The app may from time to time be offered in beta, preview, or TestFlight form. Pre-release builds may contain defects or differ materially from final releases. Features may change, break, or be removed at any time; data loss may occur. You assume all risks associated with using pre-release builds.
Locora is currently provided as a free application. We do not charge for downloading or using the core app.
If Locora introduces any optional Paid Features in the future, such purchases will be offered exclusively through Apple In-App Purchases. Locora does not accept payments outside the App Store and does not process or store payment card data.
Apple acts as the merchant of record for Apple IAP. Pricing, taxes, regional availability, and billing are handled under Apple’s terms. Where refunds are available, they are administered solely by Apple in accordance with Apple’s policies; Locora does not issue refunds directly.
Locora uses passwordless authentication via Email, Apple, Google, and GitHub, as available. By selecting a provider, you authorize us to receive the minimal identifiers required to create and maintain your account and to perform fraud-prevention, security, and abuse-detection consistent with our Privacy Policy.
If and when Paid Features are introduced, applicable taxes (e.g., VAT/GST/sales tax), regional pricing, and currency conversions are determined by Apple under Apple IAP terms. Displayed prices may vary by region.
With your permission, the app may use precise and background location to trigger welcome experiences when you arrive in a city and to build travel statistics (e.g., cities, countries, days). Location signals may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or unavailable and are not intended for safety-critical use (including emergencies, navigation, or legal compliance). Always verify critical information independently.
You may submit Content such as local tips, comments, links, and ratings. You are solely responsible for your Content and for ensuring compliance with applicable law and these Terms. Do not submit others’ personal data without a lawful basis; do not submit unlawful, harmful, infringing, or deceptive material.
If your plan includes editing of public pages or curation privileges, Locora may revert, adjust, or annotate any edits to protect accuracy, safety, compliance, and quality and may throttle or disable editing to prevent abuse.

The Service (including software, design, trademarks, logos, text, and media) is owned by Locora or its licensors and protected by applicable laws. Except as expressly granted, no rights are granted. Your Content remains yours, subject to the license granted to us.
If you submit feedback, ideas, or suggestions, you grant Locora a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, copy, modify, and commercialize such feedback without obligation or attribution.
Locora respects intellectual property rights and will respond to notices of alleged infringement that comply with applicable law. We may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material and may terminate accounts of repeat infringers at our discretion.
If you believe Content infringes your rights, contact us with sufficient detail to identify the work and the allegedly infringing material, and a statement of your rights and good-faith belief (see Contact).
The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services (including Apple IAP and sign-in providers). We are not responsible for third-party terms, policies, content, or practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to those third parties’ terms.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to our role as an app provider; however, no system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and OS, installing updates promptly, and using the Service in a safe manner.
If you suspect a vulnerability or misuse, contact us immediately (see Contact). We may suspend access to protect users, data, or the Service.
The Service is provided without uptime guarantees. Outages, maintenance, and changes may occur. We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time. Support is available at support@Locora.app and via https://Locora.app.
The Service may include components subject to open-source licenses. Where an open-source license conflicts with these Terms, the open-source license prevails for the relevant component. Notices and license texts may be provided in-app or on our website.
You represent that you are not located in, ordinarily resident in, or organized under the laws of a country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions, and that you are not listed on applicable sanctions/denied-party lists. You agree to comply with all applicable export control and sanctions laws and not to use the Service in violation thereof.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Where local law imposes a higher age threshold for consent, we comply with that threshold.
You may cease using the Service at any time and may request account deletion in the app (see Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you violate these Terms, pose risk to users or to the Service, engage in unlawful activity, or where required by law or by a competent authority.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND COURSE OF PERFORMANCE. We do not warrant that tips, maps, lists, or other information are correct, complete, or safe for your specific use, nor that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Locora AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND PARTNERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE.
Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our aggregate liability shall be limited to €10 for Free App users or, if you made any Apple IAP purchases for Paid Features in the 12 months preceding the claim, to the total amount you paid via Apple IAP during that period, whichever is greater.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Locora and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
These Terms and any dispute or claim (contractual or non-contractual) shall be governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and Locora irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ukraine, except that Locora may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any jurisdiction to protect its rights or the Service.
Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights under the laws of your habitual residence. Where such rights apply and cannot be waived, these Terms apply to the maximum extent consistent with those rights.
We may provide notices by in-app message, email, website posting, or App Store listing updates. You consent to receive communications electronically. The English version of these Terms controls in case of conflict with any translation.
Neither party shall be liable for any delay or failure to perform due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labor disputes, utility or communication failures, or changes in law or government action.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version in the app and/or on the site and update the effective date. Material changes may also be announced in-app or via our community channels. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights and choices.
Any feedback you provide through the Service or our channels shall be deemed non-confidential, and Locora may use such information on an unrestricted basis.
